Scope
Perform a network audit of all servers, desktops, and laptops. Gather and document information on the entire network. This will include; Servers, Workstations, Network Hardware (router, switches, and network printers), Security Devices and Software.
After gathering the necessary information ETB will compile a report detailing the specifications of all hardware, the expected useful life of the Servers & Workstations in place. Recommendation will be made for hardware replacement and rotation as well as any needed security enhancements to protect the network
Recommendations
Network:
A Network Map will be created outline the structure of the network and how the current system is setup. This will provide valuable documentation that is often overlooked
Server(s):
The ETB audit will include recommendations for Server configuration and or upgrades if necessary as well as a schedule for planned replacement at the end of its useful like
Workstations:
Workstations will be addressed with same parameters as servers regarding age health and productivity. ETB will identify workstations that need to be replaced and in what order. This will provide a documented schedule for replacement and the time frame allowing you to schedule and budget for new hardware.
Software:
ETB will identify any software that is no longer supported and recommend alternative as well as the implications of new software on the network.
Anti-Virus:
The current state of the Anti-Virus will be discussed and any adjustments will be recommended if needed.
Communication:
The current bandwidth of the office Internet and Remote Connections will be assessed to ensure the needs of the office are met. If changes are needed ETB will make recommendations to increase speed and efficiency.
Backup
The backup system will be assessed and documented. ETB will report on the current system, its effectiveness and capacity and make recommendations should changes be necessary to ensure a reliable Disaster Recovery System.
Options will be discussed to include:
• Offsite capabilities and cost
• Current Space and growth limitations
Business Continuity
ETB will review the current Technology plan and reference it to the current state of technology to ensure it is current and accurate.
Discussions regarding IT infrastructure as it relates to your business and how managing it properly will guarantee that it is a positive tool and not just a cost center.
