Summary:
This position is evolving and requires an individual with sound judgment, flexibility, and adaptability. A full command of the English language is required as well as personable customer service skills. Excellent computer, typing, and Microsoft Windows/Office skills are absolutely required. These include Windows XP, Microsoft Office, and customer relationship management software. Superb organizational techniques, a key sense of perception, and observation are necessary. Mathematical skills and the ability to accurately work with data and numbers are also beneficial.

Basic technical skills are an added bonus – such as level 1 troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, E-mail, and internet connections such as Cable and DSL.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer the telephone, record and dispatch calls, and take accurate messages
  • Receive, review, and respond to e-mail messages
  • Receive and sort all mail, packages, etc.
  • Receive all walk in repair customers
  • Respond to all customer requests in a professional manner
  • Schedule all appointments and manage Outlook calendars
  • Print work orders and have equipment ready for technician’s daily jobs
  • Prioritize and complete all administrative functions
  • Learn all aspects of Service CEO software – Scheduling, Billing, Tasks, etc
  • Prepare financial reports and contact customers with outstanding balances
  • Maintain company inventory in the office and on the trucks
  • Keep management and technicians continually informed
  • Direct effective communication from customers to management and technicians
  • Monitor technicians and make sure jobs are completed in a timely matter
  • Responsible for all customer billing
  • Receive and enter all customer payments
  • Track company credit card usage
  • Organize customer files and records
  • Perform follow ups with customers after service has been completed

Position:
Network Engineer / System support specialist

Summary:
ETB Services is a professional services company focused on servicing the computing needs of home users and small to mid-sized businesses. The Network Engineer / System support specialist position is responsible for the support of existing customer servers, workstations, routers, switches, and internet connections in both a small business and home office environment. The individual we seek must be confident handling challenges of all sizes and find reward in helping people make the most of their technology. In addition to being well organized, efficient, and able to work with limited supervision, the candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management skills are a must as well as the ability to work well with people. The daily duties will change continually and the individual must be able to adapt to demands and variations as no single day will be routine.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve at all levels of support for the customer base via phone, remote access, or onsite visits to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Daily management, maintenance, and support of all Windows servers and services including, basic user management, Windows 2000-2003, Exchange 2000-2003, Symantec Anti-Virus, and Backup Exec.
  • Daily support and maintenance of small 2-5 computer Windows desktop environments with basic management, virus and spyware removal, hardware troubleshooting and repair, and basic application troubleshooting and repair.
  • Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of home and small office wireless networks.
  • Responsible for deploying and maintaining remote communication services such as Remote Desktop, PC Anywhere, Remote Administrator, etc.
  • Must have a solid knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and repair to restore failed equipment quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to reinstall Windows based operating systems and apply all service packs, updates, and prevent future failures.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting VPN issues and installation of new VPN equipment are a plus.
  • Coordination of the installation of voice and data circuits from T1 to DSL/Cable connections, as well as infrastructure and hardware installation and configuration are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Category 5e data cabling, testing network lines, and troubleshooting are a plus.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years in the industry, including at least 1 year in a technology consulting environment.
  • Certifications and degrees such as MCSE 2000/2003, or any industry accepted security certification and college degrees are preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows NT/2000/2003 Server and NT/2000/2003 networks, including installation, maintenance, and support.
  • Knowledge of IP addressing/routing, firewalls, VPN, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
  • Solid Backup Exec and Symantec Anti-Virus experience.
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to deal with clients one-on-one via verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and being comfortable multitasking in conjunction with normal activities.
  • Strong level of interpersonal skills, tact, maturity and flexibility.
  • Ability to quickly define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and solve problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.
  • Sense of urgency & ability to meet deadlines; self-directed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations throughout the Philadelphia area on a regular basis to provide on-site support and consulting.
  • Must have a valid PA Drivers license with an impeccable driving record with no criminal background.
  • Individual must have a good sense of time management and the planning abilities to arrive shortly before customer appointments on time.
