Erik’s Editorial Corner

erik_barnshawI am proud to announce today we are celebrating our
10th Anniversary at ETB Services, Inc.

The time has passed so quickly and there are many people who have helped shape our business along the way.  It started with the encouragement I received at home to pursue my interest, continued through school as people asked for my help with their computers, and still continues today with the people I work with every day.

I remember when I received my first computer in 5th grade and had it apart within the week.  I did eventually get it back together and it was the beginning of a great relationship between me and computers.  I’d always had a knack for electronics and figuring things out.  I also knew I’d prefer to work for myself and was willing to make that leap of faith.  In hindsight, it sounds like this is what I was always supposed to do.  But it wasn’t as easy as it sounds!

It’s tough to reconcile what you’re good at, with what you want to do, and what you’re supposed to do.  I was never a big fan of doing what others thought I was supposed to do, but I have always followed what I thought was right – For myself and my business.  Once you figure out what you’re good at and want to do, the rest is just legwork.  If you can’t see if for yourself, talk to friends and family about what they see in you.  The key is to figure out what makes you tick and how that can add value to society.

These past 10 years have been a great experience and we look forward to serving you for the next 10 years.  Thanks for your business and make it a great day!

Warm Regards,
