Do more…Be more! That should be a slogan (if it isn’t already), but that’s not why I’m bringing up. This is the phrase I’ve been thinking about for the last few weeks, since Karen and I joined a team to run in the Philly Livestrong event in August. (Check out our team page here)
I’ve always tried to be active in our community – even more so in the last couple years. I’ve wanted to do more to help my neighbors…I’ve wanted to be more of the community-supportive person I strive to be.
Running to support the fight against cancer is important to our family, but with so many worthy causes that need our help, the most important thing is to get involved in your own way. If you’re a physically active person, you can walk, run, or bike to support a cause. If you’re not sporty, you can work at the sign-in tables or a refreshment stop. If you don’t have time, you can donate money. Just do something!
I hope you’re as excited to start the summer as I am and maybe you’ll see me running on the boardwalk, training for my next run.
Thanks for your business and make it a great day!
